ishq mein bu hai kibriyai ki

Khaal-e-lab aafat-e-jaan tha mujhe malum na tha

mujhe to ishq mein ab aish-o-gham barabar hai

han miyan sach hai tumhaari to bala hi jaane

chhup ke nazron se in aankhon ki faramosh ki rah

aahen aflak mein mil jati hain

dil KHun hai gham se aur jigar yak-na-shud do-shud

sikha jo qalam se na-e-Khaali ka bajaana

meri go aah se jangal na jale KHushk to ho

rakhta hai yun wo zulf-e-siyah-fam dosh par

is lab se ras na chuse qadah aur qadah se hum

sipah-e-ishrat pe fauj-e-gham ne jo mil ke markab baham uThae

jab mere dil jigar ki tilismen banaiyan

ye ruKH-e-yar nahin zulf-e-pareshan ke tale

nargis-e-mast teri jae jo tul barsar-e-gul

the hum istada tere dar pe wale baiTh gae

chashm-e-tar jam dil-e-baada-kashan hai shisha

yaksan lagen hain un ko to dair-o-haram baham

rah-rawan kahte hain jis ko jaras-e-mahmil hai

jo chashm-o-dil se chaDha dun nale ba-ab-e-awwal-dowam duwam-ba-atish

mat tang ho kare jo falak tujhko tang-dast

rang mein hum mas se batar ho chuke

sair mein teri hai bulbul bostan be-kar hai

ghairat-e-gul hai tu aur chaak-gareban hum hain

dast-e-naseh jo mere jeb ko is bar laga

kal mai-kade ki jaanib aahang-e-mohtasib hai

aawe jo naz se mera wo but-e-sim-bar ba-bar

qaza ne haal-e-gul jab safha-e-taqdir par likkha

jo tum aur subh aur gulnar-e-KHandan ho ke mil baiThe

jo jahan ke aaina hain dil unhon ke sada hain
