chand bhi sitaron ko sath le ke chalta hai

phir gulab ki shaKHen saj gain qarinon se

dosto tumne bhi dekhi hai wo surat wo shabih

Khaar ko phul kaho dasht ko gulzar kaho

nafas nafas hai ki sahma hua sa lagta hai

jo bujh chuke hain wo lamhe ujalta kyon hai

hai lahu shahidon ka naqsh-e-jawedan yaro

fasl-e-rasan-o-dar mein aa humne suna hai

main ki gham ki aag mein Dub kar sanwar gaya

kitne mele hain aasmanon mein

KHwahish-e-be-nam se waqif nahin

wo husn-e-zan se jae na husn-e-yaqin se hum

sapnon ki dhaara mein bahta rahta hun
