Divya has been writing since she was 16 years old. She was born in U.P. and completed her graduation from Delhi University. She further did a travel and tourism course from Delhi but writing never left her. Some of her early pieces found their way to the Saptahik Hindustan, which motivated her to keep writing. She writes in Hindi and Urdu and has a distinct style that forces the reader to empathize rather than just relate to it. Her writing evokes a sense of nostalgia that is not the reader’s own to feel.
Getting married at a young age bombarded her with responsibilities that made her stop paying much heed to publishing her poetry. She still continued to write ardently for personal pleasure. As she grew up, her writing evolved to give a shape to unsaid but deeply felt emotions. Apart from writing, she loves to travel, design clothes, and music is what keeps her sane in this fast-paced world.
