biTha ke dil mein giraya gaya nazar se mujhe

umr jo be-KHudi mein guzri hai

falah-e-admiyat mein saubat sah ke mar jaana

ek kafir-ada ne luT liya

zindagi rah-e-wafa mein jo miTa dete hain

hum jo guzre unki mahfil ke qarib

pahle to dam-e-zulf mein uljha liya mujhe

ai masiha-dam tere hote hue kya ho gaya

dil hi dil mein dard ke aise ishaare ho gae

ab to sahra mein rahenge chal ke diwanon ke sath

maqsad-e-husn hai kya chashm-e-basirat ke siwa

na sani jab mazaq-e-husn ko apna nazar aaya

na sahi hum pe inayat nahin paimanon ki

dil-e-dard-ashna ka muddaa kya

unki nazar ka lutf numayan nahin raha

ya mila qaum ko KHud apna nigahban ho kar
