Jawwad Sheikh is recognized as a rising poet in Urdu ghazal. He hails from Bhalwal, District Sargodha, Pakistan. Having spent thirteen years in Oslo (Norway and Portugal), he embarked on his poetic journey in 1997, with a formal beginning in 2002. He earned his Master’s degree in Urdu literature from Sargodha University and served as the General Secretary of Halqa-e-Arbab-e-Zauq, Oslo (Norway).
In January 2016, his first poetry collection, *Koi Koi Baat*, was published, receiving widespread acclaim in literary circles. He frequently participates in poetry symposiums across various countries and has been the recipient of multiple literary awards. Notably, *Koi Koi Baat* was honored with the "Nam Girifta Award 2016/2017" and the "Ishara Literary Award 2017." Many of his verses have found a permanent place in the speech of common people.
