یہ تیرا تاج نہیں ہے ہماری پگڑی ہے
یہ سر کے ساتھ ہی اترے گی سر کا حصہ ہے
ذرا یہ دھوپ ڈھل جائے تو ان کا حال پوچھیں گے
یہاں کچھ سائے اپنے آپ کو پیکر بتاتے ہیں
کچھ طلب میں بھی اضافہ کرتی ہیں محرومیاں
پیاس کا احساس بڑھ جاتا ہے صحرا دیکھ کر
رگوں میں زہر خاموشی اترنے سے ذرا پہلے
بہت تڑپی کوئی آواز مرنے سے ذرا پہلے
