wo jo chhup jate the kabon mein sanam-KHanon mein

ek tha shaKHs zamana tha ki diwana bana

ab kahan ja ke ye samjhaen ki kya hota hai

tere diwane teri chashm o nazar se pahle

sahar se raat ki sargoshiyan bahaar ki baat

baDh gaya baada-e-gul-gun ka maza aaKHir-e-shab

tum gulistan se gae ho to gulistan chup hai

saz aahista zara gardish-e-jam aahista

usi chaman mein chalen jashn-e-yaad-e-yar karen

zindagi motiyon ki Dhalakti laDi zindagi rang-e-gul ka bayan dosto

raushan hai bazm-e-shoala-ruKHan dekhte chalen

gulu-e-yazdan mein nok-e-sinan bhi TuTi hai

simab-washi tishna-labi ba-KHabari hai

daraaz hai shab-e-gham soz-o-saz sath rahe
