charagh-ha-e-takalluf bujha diye gae hain

hai aur nahin ka aaina mujhko thama diya gaya

ye soch banna hai kya tujhko kya bana hua hai

kyun sa rahta hai kya sa rahta hai

uTha ke dar se sar-e-rah biTha diya hai mujhe

sada hai garche lauh-e-basarat bahaal rakh

aaine par jami hui hairat ko dekhna

KHud se guzre to qayamat se guzar jaenge hum

ye umr-e-sad-bala jo apne hi sar gai hai

apni zad par the khaDe hum ko to bachna kya tha

pesh-e-zamin rahun ki pas-e-asman rahun
