āḳhir gil apnī sarf-e-dar-e-mai-kada huī
pahuñche vahāñ hī ḳhaak jahāñ kā ḳhamīr ho
aaKHir gil apni sarf-e-dar-e-mai-kada hui
pahunche wahan hi KHak jahan ka KHamir ho
tire ishq se jab se paale paḌe haiñ
hameñ apne jiine ke laale paḌe haiñ
tere ishq se jab se pale paDe hain
hamein apne jine ke lale paDe hain
mujh dil meñ hai jo but kī parastish kī aarzū
dekhī nahīñ vo aaj talak barhaman ke biich
mujh dil mein hai jo but ki parastish ki aarzu
dekhi nahin wo aaj talak barhaman ke bich
kī dil ne dil-barān-e-jahāñ kī bahut talāsh
kui dil-rubā milā hai na dil-ḳhvāh kyā kare
ki dil ne dil-baran-e-jahan ki bahut talash
kui dil-ruba mila hai na dil-KHwah kya kare
kaheñ so kis se 'jahāñdār' us kī nazroñ meñ
raqīb kaam ke Thahre aur ham haiñ nā-kāre
kahen so kis se 'jahandar' us ki nazron mein
raqib kaam ke Thahre aur hum hain na-kare
