na saqi hai na mina hai na bar mein yar-e-jaani hai

samand-e-garm jo yan us sawar ka pahuncha

gul bhi KHush-talat hai par ai mah tu kuchh aur hai

meri betabi ki us dil ko KHabar kyunkar ho

uske kuche mein dil ko kho baiThe

kis ko washud hui bhar umr hi dil-gir rahe

yaro nahin mara kisi jallad ne mujhko

dekhi na marte marte bhi surat habib ki

kya jaane tu ne kaun si bedad aaj ki

dil ek aan us se mulaqat aur hai

ghar mein na jao ghair ke mat ye sitam karo

agarche bagh-o-chaman ki bahaar hai ghuncha
