na paya khoj barson naqsh-e-pa-e-raftagan DhunDhe

be-wajh nahin gard pareshan pas-e-mahmil

main kaha bolna shab ghair se tha tumko kya

dekhen kya ab ke asiri hamein dikhlati hai

hue aazim-e-mulk-e-adam jo hawas to KHushi ye hui thi ki gham se chhuTe

yahi kahti laili-e-soKHta-jaan nahin khati adab se KHuda ki qasam

nit ji hi ji mein ishq ke sadme uThaiyo

main na samjha bulbul be-baal-o-par ne kya kaha

shauq-e-KHarash-e-Khaar mere dil mein rah gaya

us pari-ru ne na mujhse hai nibahi kya karun

bulbul ne kuDhaya na gham-e-gul ne rulaya

tu jo paDa phirta hai aaj kahin kal kahin

rang-e-gul-e-shagufta hun aab-e-ruKH-e-chaman hun main

muzhda ye saba us but-e-be-bak ko pahuncha

mathe pe laga sandal wo haar pahan nikle

humse warafta ulfat hain bahut kam paida
