dil ki lagi rah jaegi

subhen kaisi aag lagane wali thin

kya koi dard dil ke muqabil nahin raha

yun lagta hai sab kuchh khone aaya tha

yahan se Dub kar jaana hai mujhko

chhupa rakkha tha yun KHud ko kamal mera tha

azab ho gai zanjir-e-dast-o-pa mujhko

ranj-e-giran-e-shauq ka hasil na kah ise

girna nahin hai aur sambhalna nahin hai ab

nigahon se nikal kar jo gae hain

tapte sahra mein ye KHushbu sath kahan se aai

main ek andhe kuen ka qaidi kise milunga

faza mein naghma-e-awaz-e-pa hai mere liye

nam hi rah gaya ek anjuman-arai ka
