jumbish-a-abru-e-qatil kabhi aisi to na thi

mile be-nishan ke nishan kaise kaise

main na minnat-kash-e-angur hua KHub hua

sabza-e-KHat hai payambar ruKH hai quran-e-bahaar

qubul kijiye inkar ka maqam nahin

aaj sayyaad ne bhule se chaman dikhlaya

sar ko nausha ke mere shah ne bandha sehra

wo bekali nahin dil ko wo iztirab nahin

aai bahaar daur ho saqi sharab ka

mere ahwal ka afsana banaya hota
