yaad-e-mazi ye kya kiya tu ne

leta hun tera nam har ek nam se pahle

husn ko be-naqab hone do

apne ashkon ki ye barsat kise pesh karun

ishq ki dastan kya kahiye

furqat ka fusun phail gaya sham se pahle

be-zabani zaban hoti hai

zaban par shikwa-e-dar-o-rasan laya nahin jata

aankhon ko ashk-bar kiya kya bura kiya

ajab ek waqt gulshan mein ye paigham-e-bahaar aaya

ab hasti-e-KHarab ka aalam sanwar gaya

gham ka hamil na kuchh KHushi ka hai

na humne aankh laDai na KHwab mein dekha

junun-e-shauq mein mahw-e-tamasha ho gae hum tum
