Raahi Italvi (real name Daniele Speziale) was born in 1998 in Grenchen, Switzerland, and grew up in Savona, Italy. Raahi is an MSc Development Studies graduate from SOAS, University of London, and has experience carrying out social work and research internationally. A language lover, Raahi has studied around 15 languages, including Hindi, Urdu, Persian and Tamil. Besides his native Italian, Raahi loves composing poetry in Hindi and Urdu. In 2022, he was a finalist in the Jawad Ali Memorial Prize for Urdu Translation.
