DR. B. A. DAVID was born and brought up in Ajmer, (Raj) India. He passed highschool in 1946., M.Sc in 1952 and Ph.D.(Cornell University, New York, USA) in1972. After M.Sc. he served as Lecturer In Islamia College, Saharanpur ,U.P.india, thereafter he served as Prof. of Entomology in Allahabad Agricultural Institute , a postgraduate College of Allahabad University from l955 to 1990 .On retirement from College, he was appointed National Director of the FEBA(Far East Broadcasting Association, India (FEBA India), a UK Based ChristianRadio Ministry broadcasting from Seychelles and Manila , He got married in1960 and has a daughter (Somrita) and a son (Sanjay) , both residing in Melbourne. Dr B.A..David is an Urdu Poet, Sahil Ajmeri is his Takkhallus. Being an Indian musician and Piano-Accordion player, he recites his Ghazals in Mushairas in melodious Tarranum based on Indian ragas. He studied Urdu as a subject under Maulvi shahibs at Ajmer. He was Staff Advisor to the Urdu Bazm-e.-Adab of college Students. He writes secular, devotional ,humorous poems,National songs, Geets and Bhajans and broadcast those from All India Radio ,Allahabad . He has often given poetic programmes on SBS Radio Urdu and Hindi National Services of Australia.
