chiñgāriyāñ na Daal mire dil ke ghaao meñ

maiñ ḳhud hī jal rahā huuñ ġhamoñ ke alaao meñ

chingariyan na Dal mere dil ke ghao mein

main KHud hi jal raha hun ghamon ke alao mein

Syed Muhammad Zulfiqar Husain Rizvi he was born on 25 December 1934, in Bareily. He was better known by his pen name, Zulfi. Following the Partition he moved to Lahore. Well-known collection of his poetry comprise Lahu Chand Aur Sawera, Ta’ba Khaak-e-Karbala, Roshnii, Noor and Tukdey Tukdey Aadmi.
