Sajid Ali Khan was born on 14 April 1949 in Rampur. He was known as Saajid Rampuri before. He passed his masters in Urdu and got a Ph.d after that. He had been a teacher in the Government Premier College of Karachi. He lives in Karachi now. He wrote under the pen name, Sajid and is known as Sajid Amjad. Qafiya Paimaaiee is a collection of his poetry while Beshaakh (short stories) Khudayaan-E-Sukhan (the short stories based upon the lives of poets) and Urdu Shairy Par Barr-E-Sagheer Ke Tehzeebi Asaraat are his works in prose.
