Syed Saulat Husain was born on July 12, 1936 at Senthal, a town in India’s northern Bareilly district. The name of his father was Syed Rehmat Husain and the name of his mother was Syeda Butool Fatima. His siblings include his only brother Sarwat Husain and three sisters named Narjis Khatoon, Nafisa Khatoon and Jalisa Khatoon. He married to Naeem Fatima and the couple was blessed with three daughters- Yasmeen, Nigar, Irfana- and a son Parvez Saulat. He completed his middle school from Azad Naurang College, Senthal, High School and Intermediate from JPN Inter College Nawabgang, and BA, LLB from Bareilly College, Bareilly. He learned Urdu poetry from Inteqamul Hasnain ‘Muntaqim’, who was also the ustad of world-famous urdu poet Prof. Wasim Barelvi. He is also a famous criminal lawyer of the region.
