Meer Abdul Hai was a famous poet from Delhi and his takhallus was taban. He was admired for his extraordinary beauty and the Emperor Shah Alam went especially to see him. He was generally famous as Joseph the second. Meer has written very highly about him and made eulogy full of charming metaphors. Taban was a pupil of Halim and Hashmat.
