zehn zinda hai magar apne sawalat ke sath

ajib shaKHs hai patthar se par banata hai

lamha-dar-lamha guzarta hi chala jata hai

KHwab to KHwab hai tabir badal jati hai

dard ki lai ko baDha do ki main zinda hun abhi

kya zaruri hai koi be-sabab aazar bhi ho

dil ke bhule hue afsane bahut yaad aae

fishaar-e-husn se aaghosh-e-tang mahke hai

dil hai palkon mein simaT aata hai aansu ki tarah

bazm-e-jaan phir nigah-e-tauba-shikan mange hai

abhi to aankhon mein na-dida KHwab baqi hain

kamand-e-halqa-e-guftar toD di maine

ye baat dasht-e-wafa ki nahin chaman ki hai

wahi jo rah ka patthar tha be-tarash bhi tha

wo raqs kahan aur wo tab-o-tab kahan hai

meri ghazal jo nae saz se ibarat hai
