Manazir Ashiq Harganvi asked Qazi Sahib for an article on Allama Iqbal for his magazine "Kohsar". Qazi Sahib could not give an article but spontaneously presented these couplets.
इक़बाल क्या बताऊँ कि क्या है क़लंदरी
अच्छा सा इक ख़िताब हो अच्छी सी नौकरी
बोतल मय-ए-फ़रंग की रक्खी हो सामने
और हो बग़ल में उस के पिलाने को इक परी
ऐसी परी हो जिस को हो शौक़-ए-मुबाशरत
ये सब नहीं तो हेच है ऐसी क़लंदरी
