KHizan se jang karun ye nahin mujhe sauda
ḳhizāñ se jang karūñ ye nahīñ mujhe saudā
malūl maiñ bhī huuñ lekin hai intizār-e-bahār
nafīs tuḳhm banā rakkho apne ‘azmoñ ko
aur us ke baa'd raho tum umīd-vār-e-bahār

nafis tuKHm bana rakkho apne ‘azmon ko
