ye dil ki hai tapish-e-husn-o-ishq kā sotā
sitam sahe nahīñ jaate bharī javānī ke
maiñ ibtidā-e-javānī meñ mar gayā hotā
ye aarzuen ye josh-e-alam ye sail-e-nashat

sitam sahe nahin jate bhari jawani ke
main ibtida-e-jawani mein mar gaya hota
