MORE BYAnisur Rahman

The dastan of Amir Hamza has an extremely curious character called Amr Ayyar. As the word ayyar suggests, he was the master of deceitfulnes and treachery. He was endowed with unique gifts and strange techniques to carry out his tricks. He used to store all his treasures in a bag which carried things that were totally bizarre and outlandish. For example, it contained seven cities and seven rivers inside it. Using his incomparable skills, he had held thousands of magicians, jinns, evil spirits and perfidious beings to use for his purposes.

Reference: Aathh ser aate ka Khuda hai kafeel/Pet us ka hai Amar ki zambeel (Sauda), Dar-e-maani se safa laqa ki daadhi/Gham-e geeta mera seena Amar ki zanbeel (Ghalib).
