Badayun has a long series of poets to its credit and one of them was Muhammad Mehboob-ul-Hasan, who adopted the pen name, Arshadi. His talent bloomed under the regular guidance of his father, Qamar-Ul-Hasan Badayuni, who was a famous poet of his era. Poetry was his inheritance. He remained in Fatehgarh, UP, for a long time where he was an employed. Having reached Karachi, he secured a job in Taraqqiye Urdu Board that is now called Urdu Dictionary Board and remained associated with it till the end of his life. In 1983, he went to perform hajj and the pious land took him in its embrace. In 1985, his collection of poetry got published under the title, Ghazliyat, posthumously.
