yā mirī bebasī ko aag lage
mujh se dāman chhuḌā ke jaate haiñ
un kī is be-ruḳhī ko aag lage
zindagī aur vo bhī tere baġhair
phir to is zindagī ko aag lage
un ke aage zabāñ khulī na kabhī
merī is ḳhāmushī ko aag lage
dil-e-bulbul kā ḳhuun kar Daalā
phuul kī pankhuḌī ko aag lage
mujh ko 'fayyāz' kar diyā barbād
is ġham-e-āshiqī ko aag lage
