ashk ye poñchhte rahe barsoñ
tum kise sochte rahe barsoñ
us ne sochā nahīñ bichhaḌte vaqt
ham yahī sochte rahe barsoñ
zaḳhm rote rahe mohabbat ke
ashk ham poñchhte rahe barsoñ
bhuul jaanā hai ab hameñ us ko
ham yahī bhūlte rahe barsoñ
dard-e-dil hai yā dard hī dil hai
bas yahī sochte rahe barsoñ
vo thā bādal jo jhuum kar aaya
aur ham bhīgte rahe barsoñ
sang thā vo ḳhudā nahīñ thā 'navāz'
tum jise pūjte rahe barsoñ
