دیکھیے تو شجر بھی لگتا ہے
چھونا چاہیں تو ڈر بھی لگتا ہے
تیری یادیں بھی ساتھ رہتی ہیں
اور تنہا سفر بھی لگتا ہے
موسموں کا قصور ہے ورنہ
شاخ پر تو ثمر بھی لگتا ہے
کوئی آہٹ کوئی نشان نہیں
کیوں تمہارا گزر بھی لگتا ہے
ان کے آنے سے یہ ہوا معلوم
اک پیمبر بشر بھی لگتا ہے
اپنے الفاظ کو تراش نثارؔ
بات کرنا ہنر بھی لگتا ہے
