dil ki ye aarzu hai sanam bolte raho
dil kī ye aarzū hai sanam bolte raho
tum ko hamāre sar kī qasam bolte raho
sunte raheñge dosto ham bolte raho
āñkheñ kabhī na hoñgī ye nam bolte raho
ḳhāmoshiyoñ ne janm diye haiñ na.e sitam
kab tak ye zulm aur sitam bolte raho
dil zinda hai to do koī us kā subūt bhī
ḳhāmosh kyoñ ho ahl-e-qalam bolte raho
haq-goī kī misāl hai mansūr anal-haq
parvāh nahīñ sar ho qalam bolte raho
'saifī' tire ash.ār pe tanqīd hai lāzim
taaki ho tirā tez qalam bolte raho
dil ki ye aarzu hai sanam bolte raho

KHamoshiyon ne janm diye hain nae sitam
