ik use chhoḌ ke jiine kā sahārā kyā thā
sab usī kā thā mohabbat meñ hamārā kyā thā
dard thā koī ġhazal thī yā koī chehra thā
ab nahīñ yaad ki kāġhaz pe utārā kyā thā
tum ko honā hī thā ik roz kisī kā lekin
merā ho jaane meñ nuqsān tumhārā kyā thā
aise lab the ki larazte the ka.ī taazā gulāb
aisī āñkheñ thiiñ ki jhīloñ kā nazārā kyā thā
ashk aise the chamaktī thiiñ hamārī āñkheñ
zaḳhm thā dil meñ diyā thā ki sitārā kyā thā
