is tarah gesu-e-shab-gun hain ruKH-e-jaanan ke pas
is tarah gesū-e-shab-gūñ haiñ ruḳh-e-jānāñ ke paas
jaise chhā.ī ho ghaTā kaalī mah-e-tābāñ ke paas
is tarah hai aañkh kī gardish tire mizhgāñ ke paas
phirte haiñ jis tarah aahū tiir ke paikāñ ke paas
raat din rahtī haiñ zulfeñ is tarah ruḳh ke qarīb
jis tarah rahte haiñ kāfir sāhab-e-īmāñ ke paas
aa gayā hai kyā abhī se mausam-e-fasl-e-bahār
kis liye jaane lagā dast-e-junūñ dāmāñ ke paas
paas āñkhoñ ke tire ruḳhsār kab haiñ gul-badan
haiñ gul-e-lāla shagufta nargis-e-hairāñ ke paas
rashk-e-yūsuf ḳhat hai yuuñ tere zanaḳhdāñ ke qarīñ
kārvāñ jis tarah utrā ho chah-e-kan.āñ ke paas
kyoñ adū ke paas le jaate ho mujh ko dosto
kaam kyā insāñ kā batlāo to hai shaitāñ ke paas
ghar ko dushman ke lagānā aag kā ai sho.ala-rū
kuchh nahīñ mushkil hamāre sozish-e-pinhāñ ke paas
kis liye 'ḳhanjar' ko paas aane se tum karte ho man.a
āḳhir insāñ hī to aatā jaatā hai insāñ ke paas

is tarah hai aankh ki gardish tere mizhgan ke pas

jis tarah rahte hain kafir sahab-e-iman ke pas
aa gaya hai kya abhi se mausam-e-fasl-e-bahaar
kis liye jaane laga dast-e-junun daman ke pas
pas aankhon ke tere ruKHsar kab hain gul-badan
hain gul-e-lala shagufta nargis-e-hairan ke pas
rashk-e-yusuf KHat hai yun tere zanaKHdan ke qarin
karwan jis tarah utra ho chah-e-kanan ke pas
kyon adu ke pas le jate ho mujh ko dosto
kaam kya insan ka batlao to hai shaitan ke pas
ghar ko dushman ke lagana aag ka ai shoala-ru
kuchh nahin mushkil hamare sozish-e-pinhan ke pas
kis liye 'KHanjar' ko pas aane se tum karte ho mana
aaKHir insan hi to aata jata hai insan ke pas
