yā to dhaḌkan hī band ho jaa.e
yā ye ḳhāmoshī-e-fazā TuuTe
tum jahāñ bhī ho mere dil meñ ho
tum mire paas the to har-sū the
naġhma-e-gul kī baas aatī hai
taar kis ne hilā.e ḳhushbū ke
us ko laa.eñ to ek baat bhī hai
varna sab dost āshnā jhūTe
naḳhl-e-ummīd sabz hai 'amjad'
laakh jhakkaḌ chalā kiye lū ke
