hamīñ havā ke muñh pe the hamīñ shikār ho ga.e
yahāñ jo dil meñ daaġh thā vahī to ik charāġh thā
vo raat aisā gul huā ki sharmsār ho ga.e
mujhe to ek umr se paḌī hai apnī jaan kī
abhī jo sāhiloñ pe the kidhar se paar ho ga.e
aziim kyoñ na jaañ se ho shikast-e-ā.ina mujhe
vahāñ to ek aks thā yahāñ hazār ho ga.e
