koī hañs rahā hai koī ro rahā hai
koī pā rahā hai koī kho rahā hai
koī taak meñ hai kisī ko hai ġhaflat
koī jāgtā hai koī so rahā hai
kahīñ nā-umīdī ne bijlī girā.ī
koī biij ummīd ke bo rahā hai
isī soch meñ maiñ to rahtā huuñ 'akbar'
ye kyā ho rahā hai ye kyoñ ho rahā hai
koi hans raha hai koi ro raha hai

koi tak mein hai kisi ko hai ghaflat
koi jagta hai koi so raha hai
kahin na-umidi ne bijli girai
