koī jaadū na fasāna na fusūñ hai yuuñ hai
āshiqī silsila-e-kār-e-junūñ hai yuuñ hai
tū nahīñ hai to tire hijr kī vahshat hī sahī
ki ye vahshat hī mire dil kā sukūñ hai yuuñ hai
kuchh nahīñ kahnā bhī kah detā hai saarā ahvāl
ḳhāmushī ā.īna-e-hāl-e-darūñ hai yuuñ hai
jab se dekhā hai mohabbat ko adāvat karte
tab se hoñToñ pe mire haañ hai na huuñ hai yuuñ hai
ab tire saath mirā jī nahīñ lagtā sā.īñ
tū ne pūchhā thā namī aañkh meñ kyuuñ hai yuuñ hai
aaj bhī kal kī tarah der se ghar aa.egā vo
phir bahāne vahī dohrā.egā yuuñ hai yuuñ hai

ab tere sath mera ji nahin lagta sain
tu ne puchha tha nami aankh mein kyun hai yun hai
aaj bhi kal ki tarah der se ghar aaega wo
phir bahane wahi dohraega yun hai yun hai
