kyā kījiye jo qadr-e-sharāfat nahīñ rahī
shāyad kisī ko is kī zarūrat nahīñ rahī
dāman-kashāñ guzarte haiñ ik dūsre se log
pahlī sī ab vo rasm-e-muravvat nahīñ rahī
shādāb the jo phuul to ḳhushbū luTāte the
pazhmurda ho ga.e to saḳhāvat nahīñ rahī
batlā diyā hai ham ko fasādāt ne yahī
ḳhūn-e-bashar kī ab koī qīmat nahīñ rahī
