ziist kā kārobār hai thoḌā
marg kī ḳhush-gumāniyāñ thoḌī
zindagānī kā bhaar hai thoḌā
mere āzār DhūñD laa.e koī
ab bhī mujh ko qarār hai thoḌā
vo bhī tere sipurd kartā huuñ
ḳhud pe jo iḳhtiyār hai thoḌā
mausam-e-gul kā ek mujh pe junūñ
us pe rang-e-bahār hai thoḌā
maut le kar chalī hai ab mujh ko
jo tirā hai dayār hai thoḌā
Tiis dil kī 'ḳhayāl' hai thoḌī
dard bhī pā.edār hai thoḌā
