mausam ke intizār meñ leTī huī thī dhuup
yā'nī thakī thakī sī thī soī huī thī dhuup
kyā raushnī thī jaise ujāle kī murdanī
ghar ke siyāh ġhaar meñ Duubī huī thī dhuup
phūloñ ke jaam piite hī maḳhmūr ho ga.ī
āñgan meñ chaar samt jo phailī huī thī dhuup
andhe añdhere ġhaar kā ik ḳhauf dil meñ thā
haañ is liye bhī baaġh meñ soī huī thī dhuup
har-chand maiñ ki ḳhvāb-e-zamistāñ meñ mahv thā
bistar ke ās-pās hī leTī huī thī dhuup
mausam ke intizar mein leTi hui thi dhup
ya'ni thaki thaki si thi soi hui thi dhup
kya raushni thi jaise ujale ki murdani
ghar ke siyah ghaar mein Dubi hui thi dhup
phulon ke jam pite hi maKHmur ho gai
aangan mein chaar samt jo phaili hui thi dhup
andhe andhere ghaar ka ek KHauf dil mein tha
han is liye bhi bagh mein soi hui thi dhup
har-chand main ki KHwab-e-zamistan mein mahw tha
bistar ke aas-pas hi leTi hui thi dhup
