guzre jo sub.h-o-shām tirī yaad ke baġhair
ab tak yahāñ jo ziist ke lamhe guzar ga.e
vo sab the tishna-kām tirī yaad ke baġhair
likhne ko likh to duuñ maiñ hikāyāt-e-zindagī
hogī vo nā-tamām tirī yaad ke baġhair
be-kaif-o-be-surūr hai sahbā-e-zindagī
gardish meñ go hai jaam tirī yaad ke baġhair
piine ko pī rahā huuñ shab-o-roz ḳhūn-e-dil
phir bhī huuñ tishna-kām tirī yaad ke baġhair
mushkil hai ab ye kaam teri yaad ke baghair
guzre jo subh-o-sham teri yaad ke baghair
ab tak yahan jo zist ke lamhe guzar gae
wo sab the tishna-kaam teri yaad ke baghair
likhne ko likh to dun main hikayat-e-zindagi
hogi wo na-tamam teri yaad ke baghair
be-kaif-o-be-surur hai sahba-e-zindagi
gardish mein go hai jam teri yaad ke baghair
pine ko pi raha hun shab-o-roz KHun-e-dil
phir bhi hun tishna-kaam teri yaad ke baghair
