ḳhudā se māñgnā hotā to maañg letā magar
vo jab milī to kisī aur kī amānat thī
mujhe ye izn kahāñ thā ki dar pe dastak duuñ
use pukārūñ kab is kī mujhe ijāzat thī
na ashk the na tabassum na be-qarārī na sabr
'ajīb vaqt thā tāḳhīr thī na 'ujlat thī
