    na shab-o-roz badle haiñ na haal achchhā hai

    kis barahman ne kahā thā ki ye saal achchhā hai

    ham ki donoñ ke giraftār rahe jānte haiñ

    dām-e-duniyā se kahīñ zulf jaal achchhā hai

    maiñ ne pūchhā thā ki āḳhir ye taġhāful kab tak

    muskurāte hue bole ki savāl achchhā hai

    lazzateñ qurb-o-judā.ī haiñ apnī apnī

    mustaqil hijr achchhā na visāl achchhā hai

    rahravān-e-rah-eulfat muqaddar ma.alūm

    in āġhāz achchhā na ma.aal achchhā hai

    dostī apnī jagah par ye haqīqat hai 'farāz'

    tirī ġhazloñ se kahīñ terā ġhazāl achchhā hai

    na shab-o-roz hi badle hain na haal achchha hai

    kis barahman ne kaha tha ki ye sal achchha hai

    hum ki donon ke giraftar rahe jaante hain

    dam-e-duniya se kahin zulf ka jal achchha hai

    main ne puchha tha ki aaKHir ye taghaful kab tak

    muskuraate hue bole ki sawal achchha hai

    lazzaten qurb-o-judai ki hain apni apni

    mustaqil hijr hi achchha na visal achchha hai

    rahrawan-e-rah-eulfat ka muqaddar malum

    in ka aaghaz hi achchha na maal achchha hai

    dosti apni jagah par ye haqiqat hai 'faraaz'

    teri ghazlon se kahin tera ghazal achchha hai
