sailāb-sifat hai tirī yādoñ kī ghaTā bhī
jaate hue sāvan ne ajab dhuum machā dī
sab naam tire the sabhī imkān tire the
tujh ko hī har ik moḌ pe ruk-ruk ke sadā dī
sahnā vahī ik hijr kā āzār zamīñ ko
aur chashm-e-falak kī vahī billor-numā.ī
ik jaam kī ummīd pe vaañ ham bhī khaḌe the
ḳhushbū se bharī thī tirī qurbat kī surāhī
rakkhūñ kahāñ is hijr se labrez badan ko
āñkhoñ se chhalakne lagī ab dil kī gulābī

aankhon se chhalakne lagi ab dil ki gulabi
