shikva is kā to nahīñ hai jo karam chhoḌ diyā
hai sitam ye ki sitamgar ne sitam chhoḌ diyā
le gayā chhīn koī sab sar-o-sāmān-e-hayāt
haañ magar ek sulagtā huā ġham chhoḌ diyā
lag ga.ī in ko bhī shāyad tire kūche kī havā
mai-kada riñd ne zāhid ne haram chhoḌ diyā
haa.e us rah-rav-e-barbād kī manzil ai dost
jis ne ghabrā ke tirā naqsh-e-qadam chhoḌ diyā
