kis ko kahte hain jafa kya hai wafa yaad nahin

mere waste jahan mein koi dilkashi nahin hai

kahan jaen chhoD ke hum use koi aur uske siwa bhi hai

dil hi rah-e-talab mein na khona paDa mujhe

na samajh saki jo duniya ye zaban-e-be-zabani

dariya nazar na aae na sahra dikhai de

shikwa is ka to nahin hai jo karam chhoD diya

tum apni zaban Khaali kar ke ai nukta-waro pachhtaoge

mail-e-lutf hai aamada-e-be-dad bhi hai

nale mere jab tak mere kaam aate rahenge

aansuon ke tufan mein bijliyan dabi rakhna
