sāhib-e-ḳhvāb batātā hai yahāñ rasta thā
ham hī taqlīd-parastoñ se alag the varna
jis jagah bhiiḌ thī logoñ kī vahāñ rasta thā
maiñ tire shahr-e-tasavvur se abhī lauTā huuñ
peḌ sarsabz the ḳhushbū thī javāñ rasta thā
karbalā jaate hue raah se lauT aayā huuñ
buzdilī dekh mirī nauha-kunāñ rasta thā
tum abas DhunDhte phirte ho kahan rasta tha
hum ne diwar uTha di hai jahan rasta tha
bas yahi soch ke jangal ki taraf aa nikle
sahib-e-KHwab batata hai yahan rasta tha
hum hi taqlid-paraston se alag the warna
jis jagah bhiD thi logon ki wahan rasta tha
main tere shahr-e-tasawwur se abhi lauTa hun
peD sarsabz the KHushbu thi jawan rasta tha
karbala jate hue rah se lauT aaya hun
buzdili dekh meri nauha-kunan rasta tha
