usī zamīn usī āsmāñ ke saath rahe

jahāñ ke the hī nahīñ us jahāñ ke saath rahe

na.ī zamīñ pe khilāte rahe shanāḳht ke phuul

jahāñ rahe vahāñ apnī zabāñ ke saath rahe

sajā ke nok-e-palak tak virāsatoñ kā jamāl

saqāfat-e-vatan-e-mezbāñ ke saath rahe

ham apne lamha-e-maujūd ke havāloñ se

ġhubār-e-qāfila-e-raftagāñ ke saath rahe

tarāshtī rahī mauj-e-havā-e-vaqt hameñ

chaTān the magar āb-e-ravāñ ke saath rahe

kisī shikasta kināre se rabt hī na rakhā

samundaroñ meñ khule bādbāñ ke saath rahe

badan pe jamne na dī ham ne gard-e-tanhā.ī

ḳhayāl-e-anjuman-e-dostāñ ke saath rahe

bas is ḳhayāl se kuchh is meñ terā zikr bhī thā

sunī-sunā.ī huī dāstāñ ke saath rahe

kisi shikasta kinare se rabt hi na rakha

samundaron mein khule baadban ke sath rahe

badan pe jamne na di hum ne gard-e-tanhai

KHayal-e-anjuman-e-dostan ke sath rahe

bas is KHayal se kuchh is mein tera zikr bhi tha
