vo māhtāb bhī ḳhushbū se bhar gayā hogā
jo chāñdnī ne tirī zulf ko chhuā hogā
tire laboñ se jo niklā thā ik tabassum sā
mire liye to vahī giit ban gayā hogā
likhā hai aaj tirā naam maiñ ne kāġhaz par
ye merā lafz bhī itrā ke chal rahā hogā
mirī palak pe hai ehsās jaise maḳhmal sā
tumhārā ḳhvāb use chhū ke chal diyā hogā
mujhe yaqīn hai tere hī surḳh gāloñ ne
dhanak ko shoḳh sā ye rañg de diyā hogā
jo dekhtā hai tirā husn roz chhup chhup kar
us aa.ine ko bhī to ishq ho gayā hogā
