maiñ gul-e-aks thā sabhī chehre
aa.ine meñ khilā rahe the mujhe
koī naġhma na giit huuñ phir bhī
vasvase gungunā rahe the mujhe
maiñ añdhere meñ thā magar kuchh log
raushnī meñ bulā rahe the mujhe
ho gayā maiñ 'fidā' haqīqat par
ḳhvāb saare satā rahe the mujhe
