saaqī tirī nazroñ kā bharam yaad rahegā
ġham yaad rahegā na alam yaad rahegā
ik hāsil-e-ġham rabt-e-baham yaad rahegā
but-ḳhāne kī azmat kā pata jis se milā hai
vo hādisa-e-dair-o-haram yaad rahegā
hai ahl-e-mohabbat ke liye ka.aba-e-maqsad
vo shoḳh tarahdār sanam yaad rahegā
us aañkh meñ aañsū the ki paiġhām-e-tabāhī
ehsās-e-gunahgārī-e-ġham yaad rahegā
us shoḳh kī nazroñ ko na bhūlegī ye mahfil
merā dil-e-dīvāna hī kam yaad rahegā
be-mehrī-e-dildār bhulā saktā hai lekin
'bāsit' ko vafāoñ kā bharam yaad rahegā
ye maslahat-andesh karam yaad rahega
saqi teri nazron ka bharam yaad rahega
gham yaad rahega na alam yaad rahega
ek hasil-e-gham rabt-e-baham yaad rahega
but-KHane ki azmat ka pata jis se mila hai
wo hadisa-e-dair-o-haram yaad rahega
hai ahl-e-mohabbat ke liye kaba-e-maqsad
wo shoKH tarahdar sanam yaad rahega
us aankh mein aansu the ki paigham-e-tabahi
ehsas-e-gunahgari-e-gham yaad rahega
us shoKH ki nazron ko na bhulegi ye mahfil
mera dil-e-diwana hi kam yaad rahega
be-mehri-e-dildar bhula sakta hai lekin
